Frederick Edward McWilliam, R.A.

1909-1992

A Northern-Irish Surrealist sculptor, McWilliam studied the Slade School of Fine Art. During the Second World War, he joined the Royal Air Force, interpreting aerial reconnaissance photographs. McWilliam exhibited at Waddington Galleries in London and had a major retrospective show at the Tate Gallery in 1989.
