Ken Currie

b. 1960

A Scottish painter, Currie studied at The Glasgow School of Art 1978-83 where he was labeled as one of the New Glasgow Boys alongside Peter Howson, Adrian Wisniewski and Steven Campbell. He was commissioned by the University of Edinburgh to paint a portrait of Peter Higgs, the theoretical physicist, which was unveiled in 2009.
