William Scott, R.A.

1913-1989

An abstract and still life painter, Scott studied at the Belfast College of Art 1931-1935 and at the Royal Academy in London. Inspired by Jean-Baptiste-Siméon Chardin, Paul Cézanne and Pierre Bonnard, he returned to art in 1946 after serving in the military.
