Opportunity to undertake a week-long artist residency leading to an exhibition in 2020
All entries will be reviewed by a selection panel including Jo Baring, Director & Curator of The Ingram Collection. Successful finalists will be invited to exhibit their shortlisted entries in a selling exhibition at The Cello Factory in London, 8 – 12 November 2019. Up to three works from the exhibition will be chosen for the Purchase Prize, and those works will join our widely exhibited public art collection. One of the Prize-winning artists will be offered a solo show at The Lightbox gallery in 2020.
This year we are offering one of our finalists a week-long artist residency & exhibition opportunity in the summer of 2020. All finalists will be invited to submit a proposal for this residency, and further details about the process will be supplied once the Purchase Prize Exhibition has taken place.
The winners of the Purchase Prizes will be announced on 8 November at the exhibition preview event.
All exhibiting artists will be profiled across our website and social media channels, and invited to attend professional development and networking events during the exhibition run.
There will be an illustrated catalogue to accompany the exhibition.
