Our current exhibition takes inspiration from the commemoration of the Centenary of World War I and explores the impact of war through the work of artists in The Ingram Collection of Modern British and Contemporary Art. The exhibition, ‘The Ingram Collection: Impact of War’ is not limited to a specific war or time frame and will feature work by official war artists, their contemporaries, Post-War artists and contemporary artists who create responses to conflict in the 20th and 21st centuries.
The works that are being shown in the exhibition have been selected from the The Ingram Collection and include works by artists such as Edward Burra, David Bomberg, Graham Sutherland, Elisabeth Frink, C.R.W. Nevinson, William Roberts and Justar Misdemeanor. There will also be two pieces on show by Steve Hurst which have kindly been loaned from Pangolin London.
The exhibition will be on show at The Lightbox gallery and museum, Woking, until 4 January 2015.
