John Craxton, R.A.


A painter, Craxton studied at the Clayesmore School, the Académie Julian and the Académie de la Grande Chaumière in Paris 1939. Between 1941 and 1942, he attended Goldsmiths College and shared a studio with Lucian Freud, provided by their patron and friend Peter Watson.
