Eduardo Paolozzi’s monumental bronze sculpture Newton After William Blake, 1995 stands in the piazza of the British Library, Sir Colin St John Wilson was instrumental in getting Paolozzi to take the commission and Paolozzi worked on many versions of the sculpture. The plaster relief was one of a number of studies made around the subject.
