This set of five engravings were some of Eric Ravilious’ images used to illustrate a series of booklets called Country Walks, written by Robert Harling. On Ravilious’ graphic work Harling noted, “his pre-occupation with the interplay of light and shadow…with this problem he was as unceasingly engrossed, as were the early impressionists”.
