’Preaching to the wrong crowd’ loosely contains thoughts about human behavior, crowd mentality, power relationships and modern attitudes to politics. The artist says “my subjects focus on the human condition and narrative. Memory is central to the work, a process of creating a thread of connected ideas around a theme. Forming an open-ended suggestion of narrative, often using remembered places or events combined with subtle references from literature, philosophy, current affairs, history, films – whatever feels somehow important and I personally associate with the subject of the piece.”
