A painter, Bevan studied at Bradford School of Art 1968-71, Goldsmiths’ College 1971-74 and the Slade School of Fine Art 1974-6. He first exhibited with the ICA in 1982 and at the Serpentine Gallery in 1983. Bevan was elected a Royal Academician in 2007.
