Canon Remix is the first sculptural assemblage by Mirza that works with sound, which is layered and structured similar to a musical composition. The work includes speakers, a CD player with a recording of sections from Johann Pachelbel’s Canon in D as well as a mist machine. The water from the mist machine initiates the random playback of individual chords of the recording.
